Richmond 2015
In 2015, 650,000 guests came to Richmond across 10 days for the UCI World Championships bike races.
We, at Richmond Region Tourism, had a unique opportunity to host a booth at the Fanfest, where the athletes and fans would gather after each race.
We were given a 10×20 space and the chance to show the world why our city was special.
We needed a special booth.
I developed a pitch deck, planned 10 days of activities, designed a booth that would reflect the character of the city, play local music, highlight local attractions and drive foot and web traffic to our partners.
When the gates opened we had a line that stretched about 30 feet trying to get their hands on custom printed swag bags. We were blocking other booths. It was a roaring success.
